VERNON — When Mal Gjonbalaj, owner of Paul’s Pizza House on Route 83 is asked about his secret to success, he cites three reasons.
“This business, the way I see it … you have to serve quality food, give quality service, with hygiene. You have to keep your place clean.”
Gjonbalaj immigrated to the United States from Albania, by way of Italy, and was in the pizza business in North Carolina, New York, and Virgina before he and a partner bought Paul’s Pizza House in 1986.
